Welcome to my writing blog. My name is Johnny Ray and as the writer of many novels, short stories, poems, blogs, screenplays, speeches, commentaries on breaking news, etc. I hope this blog will help to show the frustrations and joys of the work behind the scenes, and hopefully attract many people that will become friends, and maybe even fans of my work. Like all of life, it will be an adventure none the less. Thanks for joining me on the ride, and being a part of my life.

Okay, so it has been a great day at the beach but now time to get busy working again.
This is going to be the first in a long series of questions and answers that I hope many of my writer friends will add to in regards to their own writing habits.
1) Getting started. What does it take to get you going in the morning. Is it coffee, a big breakfast, a short jog, the bill collector, great music, or are you one that has to shut out the world?
For me, it's a short hike to the local coffee shop and coffee. I read the paper and talk to a few locals before taking up residency there for about three or four hours.
